“When Gaye (Cevikel) saw our “Satellight” for the Marrakesh Arts Biennale in 2012, she immediately had the idea for a collaboration between GAIA&GINO and J. MAYER H. Based on a blurry mix of Turkish calligraphic numbers, data protection patterns and light and shadow, our “1001” lamp will be developed as a set of various objects in different scales for indoor lighting. GAIA&GINO is specialized in high quality and innovative contemporary design which is the perfect environment for accessories that create unique spaces with a special atmosphere. The collaboration between GAIA&GINO and J. MAYER H. was stimulating and full of good dynamics. We are very proud to see our “1001” lamp as part of the GAIA&GINO product family.”
